General Terms and Conditions (AGB)
for the company “Camping Hohensyburg” in Dortmund
1. General Information
These terms and conditions govern the mutual rights and obligations between the camping guest and the Campingplatz Hohensyburg. By making your reservation, you are making a binding offer to the lessor to conclude an accommodation contract. This can be done in writing, orally, by phone, or electronically. The contractual services of Campingplatz Hohensyburg are provided based on the applicable offers, descriptions, and price lists valid for the travel period. The fiscal year is the calendar year. The campsite management reserves the right to change the allocation of pitches and accommodation units if necessary. Telephone information, side agreements, and other assurances of any kind require written form to be valid and will only become part of the contract if they are confirmed in writing by Campingplatz Hohensyburg. For the lessor, the contract only becomes binding once it has been confirmed in writing or electronically by Campingplatz Hohensyburg. No travel contract is concluded, as we are not a tour operator within the meaning of the law. In all offers – including special offers – the accommodation service is the essential main service. Additional services are of secondary importance. Telephone information from our staff is non-binding and therefore requires written confirmation. Please contact Campingplatz Hohensyburg in writing.2. Booking
Bookings can be made as described under point 1. Between April and September, early booking is recommended, and generally, a minimum booking period of two nights applies for the caravans and large sleeping barrels. Over public holidays, three nights must be booked. Rental objects must generally be booked with a 50% deposit, and other pitches with a 20% deposit. The prices and dates listed in the booking confirmation are binding. Changes in the actual duration of stay do not reduce the price. The respective specifics, especially the bookable number of people, must be observed. Bookings can only be made by adults. Bookings made by persons who have already been banned from the site will be canceled. The campsite reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time due to house rules. If your desired object, pitch, or preferred period is not available, please contact our reception. We will try to make your desired booking possible.3. Payment
The amount will be invoiced on the day of arrival, plus additional costs (e.g., electricity). In the case of discounts, only the highest discount rate applies. The accumulation of multiple discounts is excluded. A discount card recognized by us must be issued at the time of booking and presented in original form upon arrival. Retroactive recognition of the discount is not possible.4. Arrival / Departure
The arrival and departure dates specified in the booking confirmation are binding. The booked pitch or rental object is available from 3:00 PM on the arrival day. The rental object must be vacated by 12:00 PM on the departure day, and the pitch by 1:00 PM. Outside of the main season, later departure may be possible by prior arrangement, provided the pitch has not already been rented out, and this is confirmed by the reception. Please inquire about the costs at reception. The rental objects must be left in a clean condition. Inventory (e.g., kitchen equipment, dishes, stove, oven) must be cleaned after use. Any damage must be reported.5. Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule or change the existing contract, e.g., changing the number of people, pitch, rental object, no additional fee will be charged.6. Withdrawal by the Customer / Cancellation
You can withdraw from the contract at any time, without giving any reason, up until 6:00 PM on the day of the booked date. To avoid misunderstandings, a withdrawal is only possible in writing (letter, email). The time of withdrawal is determined by the receipt of the withdrawal notice at the reception of Campingplatz Hohensyburg and its confirmation. If you withdraw from the contract, we can charge a reasonable compensation in accordance with § 537 of the German Civil Code (BGB) as follows:Up to 30 days before the start of the rental: 0% of the total price
29 to 15 days before the start of the rental: 50% of the total price
14 to 7 days before the start of the rental: 75% of the total price
For cancellations later than that, no-shows, early departures, or late arrivals, the full price must be paid, minus any saved expenses.
It remains your responsibility to prove that a lesser damage occurred. Pitches and rental objects not occupied by 6:00 PM on the arrival day and for which no agreement has been made for later occupancy can be used by the campsite administration for other guests. Similarly, places and objects that are vacated early will be made available to others. In such cases, the lessor will offer an alternative pitch for any later or return arrivals. The occupation of a pitch or rental object by Campingplatz Hohensyburg does not imply the provision of a substitute tenant, as guests can generally be accommodated elsewhere. We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance, such as from your insurance company or a travel agency (European Travel Insurance).
7. Visitors
Visitors are always welcome but must register at the reception before entering the campsite.8. Dogs
Dogs are welcome on our campsite, with the exception of fighting dogs and breeds classified as dangerous. Please keep dogs on a leash throughout the campsite.Opening Hours
Please observe our opening hours for reception and check-in. Entry to the campsite is not possible between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
9. Liability
Every guest is obligated to handle the inventory and campsite carefully. They must compensate the lessor for any damage caused during their stay by them, their companions, or guests. Campingplatz Hohensyburg assumes no liability for damages, accidents, losses, or other irregularities that occur to the guest, their companions, or visitors in connection with the use of the campsite, unless intentional or grossly negligent behavior by the lessor or their agents is involved. Events beyond our control, such as weather, strikes, etc., exclude any liability.10. Reporting Obligation
If there are any defects, the tenant must immediately inform the campsite management about the defect. Failure to report will result in the tenant not being entitled to any claims, regardless of the legal grounds.11. Data Protection
The customer agrees that their personal data collected during customer support may be stored and processed in our IT system. Both parties will comply with the applicable data protection laws during and after the contract period. Occasionally, image and sound recordings may be made by us or third parties at the campsite, which may be broadcasted or published. If you do not wish this, please inform us.12. Campsite Regulations
The campsite regulations are binding for all stays at Campingplatz Hohensyburg. In the case of severe violations, the lessor is entitled to terminate the contract without notice, even without prior warning. In this case, the tenant has no claim.Changes to Catalog Information / Price Adjustments
All prices stated include the applicable VAT rate. If there is an increase in the VAT rate or if tax-exempt income becomes taxable, and the service has not yet been provided, we will exercise our right to adjust the price by the amount of the VAT increase, even if the contract was concluded more than four months before the law change takes effect. The prices stated in the brochure correspond to the print date. However, we ask for your understanding that changes in prices and services may occur for objective reasons when transmitting your booking request, which we explicitly reserve the right to make. We will inform you of these changes in a timely manner.
